    The work presented here aims to understand the specificity of the conception of domination elaborated in the Dialectic of Enlightenment by Theodor W. Adorno and Max Horkheimer. This objective is accompanied by a no less important one: to understand the nuances that the work brings, in a way that often underlies the texts, about the perspectives of non-domination that its authors conceived. In this way, it is possible to establish dialogue with studies on the critical theory of society, to contribute to the investigations into Western Marxism and to insert itself in the debates on social theory and contemporary sociology
