- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Aplicação do processamento de imagens por computador na quantificação das variáveis histopatológicas da reparação tecidual de anastomoses colocólicas em cães(Associação Médica Brasileira, 1997-12-01) Novelli, Moacyr Domingos; Barreto, E.; Matos, Delcio [UNIFESP]; Saad, Sarhan Sydney [UNIFESP]; Borra, R.c.; Universidade de São Paulo (USP); Hospital do Servidor Público Estadual de São Paulo Serviço de Anatomia Patológica; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)BACKGROUND. The authors present the experimental results of the computerized quantifying of tissular structures involved in the reparative process of colonic anastomosis performed by manual suture and biofragmentable ring. The quantified variables in this study were: oedema fluid, myofiber tissue, blood vessel and celular nuclei. MATERIAL AND METHODS. An image processing software developed at Laboratório de Informática Dedicado à Odontologia (LIDO) was utilized to quantifying the pathognomonic alterations in the inflammatory process in colonic anastomosis performed in 14 dogs. The results were compared to those obtained through traditional way diagnosis by two pathologists in view of counterproof measures. The criteria for these diagnoses were defined in levels represented by absent, light, moderate and intensive which were compared to analysis performed by the computer. RESULTS. There was significant statistical difference between two techniques: the biofragmentable ring technique exhibited low oedema fluid, organized myofiber tissue and higher number of alongated celular nuclei in relation to manual suture technique. CONCLUSION. The analysis of histometric variables through computational image processing was considered efficient and powerful to quantify the main tissular inflammatory and reparative changing.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Estudo morfológico das entero-anastomoses com suturas em pontos separados complementados com adesivo sintético ou biológico em coelho(Sociedade Brasileira para o Desenvolvimento da Pesquisa em Cirurgia, 2004-08-01) Amaral, Ademir Teixeira do [UNIFESP]; Taha, Murched Omar [UNIFESP]; Fagundes, Djalma José [UNIFESP]; Simões, Manuel de Jesus [UNIFESP]; Novo, Neil Ferreira [UNIFESP]; Juliano, Yara [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)PURPOSE: The aim of the research was to verify the efficacy of the fibrin or cianoacrylate glue as coadjuvant in the intestinals anastomosis of rabbits. METHODS: Eighty rabbits, lineage New Zealand, males, adults, were submitted to enterectomy of 3cm and enteroraphy distributed in four groups: Group A (two equidistants stitches); Group B (four equidistants stitches); Group C (six equidistants stitches); Group D (eight equidistants stitches). In 14 days of observation, the animals were submitted to median laparotomy for macroscopic study of the abdominal cavity for identification and evaluation of adherence, dehiscence and fistula. The segment anastomosed was removed and was maked mould of alginate for later evaluation of the index of stenosis. The parts removed were processed for histological study and evaluation of collagen, macrofages, vessels and granulomas. RESULTS: Significant difference was not presented in the evaluation of dehiscence and fistula with the two adhesives between the four subgroups. The adherence occurred in higher number in the subgroups of the synthetical adhesive. The index of stenosis was higher in the animals of the synthetical adhesive only in the subgroups with two and eight stitches. The histological analysis showed that in all the parameters evaluated (macrofages, vessels and granulomas) did not present significant difference between the two kinds of adhesives. In relation the percentagem of collagen was verified that presented significant difference in group B in that the synthetical adhesive was smaller that the biological adhesive. CONCLUSION: The biological adhesive of fibrin show more efficacy that the synthetical adhesive as coadjunvants of suture in the intestinals anastomosis.
