    Avaliação Anatomopatológica Da Membrana Corioamniótica Após Correção Cirúrgica Intraútero De Mielomeningocele

    Objective: Histological Evaluation Of The Fetal Membrane After Open Fetal Surgery For Myelomeningocele In Order To Verify The Repair Process Of Surgical Scar. Methodology: 27 Fetal Membranes Obtained After Birth. Fetal Membranes Were Submitted To Macroscopic And Microscopic Evaluation. Quantitative Evaluation Of Collagen Was Performed By Picrosirius Red, Comparing The Scar Area With Another Area Far From The Suture Site. The Expression Of The Immunohistochemical Markers For Mmp-1, Mmp-9, Timp-1 And Timp-2 Was Evaluated And Compared On Fetal Membranes Scar Area, Suture Area And Normal Area. Results: There Was A Significant Difference In Collagen (P<0,001) Between The Normal (7.96%, Sd ± 1.94%) And Scar (14.38%, Sd ± 2.66%) Regions. The Mean Score Of Mmp-1 Was Reduced In The Scar Region When Compared To The Normal And Suture Regions. The Mean Score Of Mmp-9 In Both The Scar And Suture Regions Were Higher Than In The Normal Region. Timp-1 Presented A Higher Average Score In The Suture Region Compared To The Norm
