- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Colangiografia peroperatória sistemática em colecistectomia videolaparoscópica(Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões, 2002-04-01) Yasojima, Edson Yuzur [UNIFESP]; Lopes Filho, Gaspar de Jesus [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP); Universidade do Estado do Pará Departamento de Saúde IntegradaBACKGROUND: We present our results from peroperative cholangiography (POC) systematically performed during video laparoscopic cholecystectomies (VLC). METHOD: From January 1998 to December 1999, VLP was performed in 250 non-selected patients from both sexes, being 65 males (26%) and 185 females (74%), independent of the presence or not of clinical signals, laboratorial and ultrasonographics results or of other diagnostic method, indicatives of choledocholithiasis or other biliary ducts pathologies. RESULTS: POC could be performed in 94,6% of the cases. It was found 31 modifications (13%), being the most important six cases of choledocholithiasis (2,5%) and 25 cases of anatomical anomalies (10,5%). CONCLUSIONS: POC during VLC showed to be a safe procedure, with no complications, defining anatomy, forewarning biliary injuries and allowing assymptomatic choledocholithiasis detection.

The presence of the corpus luteum in the ovary that is contralateral to the ectopic pregnancy is presumptive evidence for ovum transmigration, which may be the cause of ectopic pregnancy. In 1994, a multinational clinical trial proved the superiority of levonorgestrel over the existing emergency contraceptive products. In the present study, we describe the case of a 27-year-old woman with ectopic pregnancy and a contralateral corpus luteum after use of hormonal emergency contraception (levonorgestrel), because of failure of the used contraception method (condom). The patient was treated with laparoscopic surgery that was successful.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Um modelo de hérnia incisional em coelhos(Sociedade Brasileira para o Desenvolvimento da Pesquisa em Cirurgia, 1997-09-01) Aydos, Ricardo Dutra; Silveira, Iandara Silva; Magalhães, Ana Maria; Goldenberg, Saul [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso do Sul Departamento de Clínica Cirúrgica; Departamento de Medicina Veterinária para Desenvolvomento do Estado e da Região do Pantanal; Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul Hospital Universitário; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)The authors proposed an experimental model of making incisional hernia. The experiment was carried out in 15 male New Zealand rabbits. The hernia was made by cutting the abdominal wall in the after the procedure the animals were avaible to videolaparoscopic surgery. All the animals survived with incisional hernia without clinical complications.
