- ItemSomente MetadadadosA Malandragem Nossa de Cada Dia : Análise de Macunaíma e do samba-malandro na consrtução do nacionalismo brasileiro no final da República Velha(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2014) Araujo, Ricardo Vaz [UNIFESP]; Naranjo, Julio Moracen [UNIFESP]; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3542892942316705; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8773848468213274; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)The present monograph aims to understand and dissect the malandro’s figure inside the National Idea of formation about Brazil, specifically in the last years of the First Republic. Modernism and samba are central figures in this understanding, where Mário de Andrade’s Macunaíma caused argument discussion about the character of our national imagetic figure. We have been looking for a true and purê brazilian character that coul explain our historical construction, and the malandro was the most close to some answer. Along with literature, samba passed by its most symbolic transformation. The maxixe gave way to the malandro’s samba, and this movement was not as natural as some musical theories of evolution can suport. The samba-trickster is the true and fair representation from the idealization about the dreams of the morros. And where was Brazil? Morros, of course.
