It is part of the research line “Language in new contexts” of the Postgraduate Program in Letters at the Federal University of São Paulo and adds to the linguistic studies the discourse analysis of the legal field. To this end, it conducts a qualitative analysis of an initial application, a challenge and a sentence, which make up the same lawsuit in the civil area, within an ordinary procedure. These three documents constitute the research corpus. Through the intersection of thoughts of the Discourse Analysis theorists, especially those of the French line, the aim is to analyze the linguistic-discursive resources used for the constitution of the enunciator's discursive ethos in the three mentioned speech genres and the degree of interference that these resources exert in the adhesion of the recipients. It starts with the hypothesis that the enunciators work to transmit a good image of themselves, in search of a specific objective, and that some individuals who assume certain discursive roles see the need to transmit a distinct image of themselves as an obligation, as those belonging to the discursive fields of law. Allied to the study of ethos, we intend to investigate the scenes of enunciation, theorized by Maingueneau (2015), namely the encompassing scene, the generic scene and the scenography, in order to situate the chosen genres within the discursive universe to which they belong, as well as studying polyphony, under the same author's view, to understand the use of the authority argument, and to discourse on the institutional ethos, to understand the relationship of symbolic exchanges between individuals who assume the discursive roles surrounding the elected genres and their respective institutions. The results show a preference for erudite, solemn, eloquent and combative ethé, among others, belonging to the stereotypes of judge and lawyer, marked by argumentative linguistic resources, abuse of pronouns of treatment, appreciation of pompous language, polyphonic appeal to voices of authorities outside the utterances and by the deliberative language.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Ethos discursivo e (re)construção da linguagem: do jornalismo on-line para as páginas do Facebook(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2019-02-27) Candido, Ingrid Caroline Albuquerque [UNIFESP]; Silva, Sandro Luis Da [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Based on studies of French Discourse Analysis, this dissertation aims to analyze in what extent the different linguistic-discursive constructions reflect different positions, which resignify the perspective of the enunciators. By this bias, for this investigation were found two media that hold great social importance: social networks and online newspapers. The corpus selected for analysis is divided into two parts: nine posts from the Caneta Desmanipuladora profile of the social network Facebook, which deal with revisions and interventions in journalistic headlines, and in the same nine headlines, as published by the online newspapers, these being Folha de S.Paulo, O Globo and O Estado de S.Paulo, totalizing the reflection on eighteen statements that are observed before and after the interventions of the page. All the headlines of the selected newspapers deal with news published in the context of the government of interim president Michel Temer, reported in the period from 05/24/2016 until 08/31/2016, considering Brazil‘s constant political and social changes at this time, when Dilma Rousseff‘s impeachment process was is transit. The study of the selected corpus is justified by the importance of online communication in contemporaneity, allowing us to glimpse the position disparities concerning a huge variety of levels, political period which Brasil was going through. The theoretical concepts selected for this dissertation are based on Maingueneau's (1997; 2004; 2006; 2008 a; 2008b; 2010; 2011; 2014 a; 2014 b; 2015), studies, especially the definitions of discourse, discursive ethos and interdiscursivity. It is believed study lead the reader into a linguistic-discursive resources reflection that demarcate positions, re-meaning the statements depending on the subjects they enunciate.

Its results are considered as a strategic measure for the promotion and improvement of the quality of education in the country. The exam, consisting of multiple choice questions, evaluates the student's ability to deal with problem situations using different skills and abilities in decision-making. Considering the expanded reach that the test has conquered over the years, this qualitative research examined 5 questions from the Portuguese Language area of the 1998 edition and 5 questions from the 2016 edition of the Language, Codes and Their Technologies of ENEM, from the theoretical-methodological perspective of the French Discourse Analysis, specifically the studies of Dominique Maingueneau (1997, 2004a, 2008a, 2008b, 2012, 2015). It was verified that in the group of the 10 questions of Portuguese Language what discursive competences were required, according to Maingueneau's theory (2004) and analyzed the discursive ethos of the enunciator of the questions. In addition to the discursive ethos and discursive competence, observing the concern of official exam documents with the interdisciplinarity, the objective was to investigate whether, on the same questions, there was an interdisciplinary work. For such investigation, the research anchored in the considerations of Ivani Fazenda (1979/2002). The methodology included the analysis of two official documents, Portaria MEC n° 438, de 28 de Maio de 1998, which establishes the exam in 1998, and Edital n° 10, de 14 de Abril de 2016, which focused on the 2016 edition in order to investigate how ENEM was specifically configured in the 1998 and 2016 editions and whether the questions actually met the specified skills and abilities. The analysis evidenced that the official documents were built under the interdisciplinary precept and privileged the evaluation of different languages. It was verified that the questions of both editions presented interdisciplinarity, and the need of interaction of the discursive competences for the understanding of the base text. In the 1998 edition, a discursive ethos of a less fixed enunciator in relation to 2016 was constituted, marked by the construction of a "teach image" or didactic scenography in the questions. The discursive ethos of the 2016 questions demonstrated a deletion of the enunciator, in favor of an objective and technical tone.
