- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Conexões entre matemática e música em produções científicas: uma rede de possibilidades para o ensino fundamental e médio(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2020-10-30) Pereira, Bianca Alves [UNIFESP]; Linardi, Patricia Rosana [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São PauloA possibility of enabling opportunities for learning mathematics and developing multiple skills is presented in the relationship between mathematics and music in the pedagogical didactic context. In this scenario, this research aimed to inventory, analyze and systematize scientific productions within the scope of Mathematical Education (published in the period from 2010 to 2019) about the relations between Mathematics and Music. For that, it relied on the theory of knowledge as a network of meanings by Machado (2011) based on the hypertext metaphor by Lévy (1993). Characterized as a qualitative research of the State of the Art type, it comprised three methodological steps: step 1, survey of literature on research platforms that provide the complete texts electronically about the relationship between mathematics and music, and the study of musical language; step 2, exploration of this material, consisting of a preliminary reading, definition of general characteristics and approaches and perspectives to be analyzed; and step 3, analysis of the general characteristics, comparison and analysis of the approaches and perspectives of these productions. The state of the art corpus comprised 83 scientific productions published in the period from 2010 to 2019, consisting of works presented in events, theses and dissertations from different universities and articles from academic journals. Written in Portuguese, Spanish and English, from eight different countries. Among 130 authors and co-authors, regarding academic training, only 9 had any training related to the areas of Music or Art. The categories for comparing and analyzing the approaches and perspectives of these productions, consisted of: Level of education, with research focusing on Elementary, High School or both; Approach / Strategy, being grouped among those that made use of Songs, those that developed Musical creations, Didactic Experiences, used Stories, Mathematical modeling, those that developed Workshops / Minicourses and that carried out some type of Literature Review. Potentialities, possibilities and contributions were also discussed from these productions; and Limitations, challenges and difficulties in integrating Music within the scope of Mathematics Education. They were also compared and analyzed in terms of approaches and perspectives, with regard to connections between mathematical and musical content (in their aspect of theory, analysis and composition) in contexts and situations, aiming at an alternative approach to the teaching and learning of mathematics. Based on these connections, a possibility of a specific network of meanings was presented, specific to each, and a systematization was carried out from a general network in order to contribute to the teaching and learning of mathematics, which can be explored in different aspects, through an interdisciplinary work. The connections that can be established can make new knowledge emerge, enhancing the meanings and enriching the teaching and learning process. Thus, it is expected that this research will contribute to show potentials and limitations, evolution and central characteristics of research that deals with the relationship between Mathematics and Music for the identification of theoretical and practical contributions.
